National Infrastructure Plan - March 2010

Corrections

All prisons in New Zealand are owned and operated by the Department of Corrections and funded through general taxation. Decisions to invest in upgrading or building prisons tend to be made centrally through the Government's budget process, and projects are prioritised directly against other demands for capital.

Potential projects for consideration

The following represents early indications for potential further capital projects which have yet to be developed or considered by ministers. These will need to be considered against other calls for funding.
