305. There is limited public information available on planned investment in Ports. However, we are aware of the following: The Ports of Auckland Port Development Plan 2008[86] identifies potential options for reclamation to extend the Ferguson and Bledisloe Wharves:

306. The Lyttelton Port of Christchurch is currently investigating two projects: Capital Dredging and a Coal Stockyard Expansions Project.[87]

307. Future investment in aviation is likely to include continuation of terminal upgrades in Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington, and runway extensions at Hamilton, Palmerston North and Rotorua, as set out in the following:
